Once you know the cubic yards the project will cover, you can calculate how many bags of concrete you will need because each bag will give you information of how much area it will cover. By knowing how many bags you will need, this will help you calculate how much it will cost for concrete. But you're not out of the woods yet. See Section 3.
For grades C8/C10/C15 the average concrete pouring cost is around £90 per m3. For grades C20/C25 you’re looking at a cost of about £95 per m3. For grades C30/C35 the average price is £100 per m3. Or, if you want grades C40/C45 the average cost of concrete pouring is about £110 per m3.
Pouring a slab for your foundation, driveway or sidewalk starts with estimating the amount of concrete you will need for the job. Estimating the number of square feet your project will cover is usually easy but meaningless when you discover that concrete is sold by the cubic yard.
Because the cost of a cubic yard of concrete has topped $100.00 dollars per yard in a lot of areas around the U.S., it's helpful to know the exact cost in your area. The slab you see us pouring below used 120 yards of concrete. The cost per cubic yard of 3000 psi concrete for this slab was $92.00 dollars. That's $11,040.00 just for the concrete!
Divide the total number of cubic feet in your pour by 27, the number of cubic feet in a cubic yard. In our sample pour, 225 cubic feet divided by 27 will equal 8.33 (round the number after the third decimal place for ease of figuring your concrete). You have 8.33 cubic yards in your sample pour.
